The primary purpose of zoos is to entertain the people by conserving animals from extinction. Zoo, nowadays, has become a significant part of education and recreation for the general public all around the globe.
Earlier, wealthy people used to collect exotic animals as an expression of wealth and power. But, the objective has changed now, in the modern era. Zoos or zoological parks now serve in education and research as well as recreation and conservation.
People living in the cities don’t get much time for themselves. But when they do, they will visit the zoo at least once to seek refreshments and joy. Kids get amazed to see those innocent exotic animals which they only saw on the TVs or in the books. The ferocious animals behind those bars melt the hearts of many animal lovers. Now the city people don’t need to go to the jungle to see any unusual creatures.
However, there are various types of zoos you’ll get to see these days, such as Urban or Suburban zoos, Safari parks, Game reserves, Petting zoos etc. All these zoos are concerned with the health of the rare animals they are conserving and captive breeding.
